Travel Photo of the Day: Guardian of the Temple
Walking up the stairs of Wat Suan Dok temple in Chiang Mai we were taken aback by this fearsome looking fellow guarding the entrance to the temple. With his round grey face, long barreled body and short legs we thought he looked very similar to a seal, what do you think?!

30 Faces of Songkran: Portraits of Wet People
We were lucky enough to be in Chiang Mai during Thailand‘s new year festivites, known as Songkran, but also known as the biggest water fight in the whole world!

Exploring Chiang Mai’s Night Markets
Night markets, food markets, fruit markets, Saturday and Sunday walking street markets – Chiang Mai has more night markets than you’d ever need! Check out some of our photos.

Riding the Samoeng Loop, Chiang Mai
We’d heard from other travellers about the Samoeng Loop, and as huge motorbike fans we thought it would make for a perfect day getaway trip from Chiang Mai.

Travel Photo Essay: New Years Eve in Chiang Mai
With no real plans for New Years Eve in Chiang Mai, I did what any wannabe photographer does and set out with my camera, tripod and a bottle of whisky!

Travel Photo of the Day: Happy New Years from Chiang Mai!
Hundreds of sky lanterns and fireworks made for a spectacular New Years show in the heart of Chiang Mai, Thailand’s largest northern town!

Travel Photo of the Day: Knockout Blow!
Taken during our stay on Koh Phi Phi, a popular island in southern Thailand. The ‘Reggae’ bar held Thai-boxing bouts every night to entertain the masses while they sunk endless whiskey buckets. If you felt tough enough, tourists had the option of slugging it out against each other. A hilarious sight trust me!

Travel Photo of the Day: Breakdancing Kid in Thailand
Breakdancing in Thailand is the new big thing! These kids were wind-milling and spinning on bare concrete during a night market in Krabi, a few hours south of Koh Phangan on the mainland. Start ‘em young!

The Quieter Side of Koh Phangan, Thailand
Koh Phangan is famous for probably the world’s most well known dance gathering – The Fulll Moon Party. But is that all?
