Pushkar is one of India’s holiest destinations, it’s popular with Hindu pilgrims, Indian and foreign tourists. All very interesting….But more importantly for me, its totally pure veg and a dry location, meaning no alcohol, no meat, fish or eggs available – Great for vegans!

People ask if it’s hard travelling as a vegan. It’s a question I hear often. I have to admit, sometimes it is… But in every country I go to and there’s always lots of tasty vegan goodies to eat!
Here are a few things that are in my backpack that I’ve found invaluable. You probably won’t see some of these items on most packing lists, and some might be a bit squeamish about it all. But I feel girls should be as prepared as possible for what the traveller trail throws at them.
