Leaving Varkala was like leaving a loved one and starting a new adventure. The serene beach life, the western food and beers at sunset would be behind us as we pushed further north towards Kerala’s famous backwaters.

2 weeks can fly pretty quickly. Especially when you’re bumming on the beach in the south of India in the tranquil setting of Kerala’s palm fringed beaches.

Yoga practitioners line the Varkala beach, peacefully completing their sun salutations. Some just come to meditate facing the falling sun across the Lakshadweep Sea.

This paraglider man was gliding over the cliffs of Varkala, south Kerala on the far southern tip of India. He kept making passes over the heads of all the onlookers, plus he started showing off when he saw me snapping away!
